Nip + Tuck

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 July 2026

This policy explains what personal information the Nip + Tuck podcast collects when you use our website or join our email list, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We've kept it in plain language rather than legal jargon.

Who we are

For the purposes of data protection law, the data controller is the Nip + Tuck podcast ("we", "us", "our"). If you have any questions about this policy or your personal data, you can reach us at hello@niptuckpod.com.

This policy applies to niptuckpod.com and the email marketing we run through it. It is written to reflect the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

What we collect and why

We only collect what we need. Depending on how you use the site, that may include:

InformationWhen we collect itWhy
Email address When you sign up to our email list To send you the emails you asked for, once you've confirmed
First name When you sign up (optional) To personalise our emails to you
Date of birth Later, only if you choose to share it To send you a birthday message
Usage and device data Automatically, as you browse To understand how the site is used and improve it
Approximate location Automatically, from your IP address To understand roughly where our audience is based

Our legal basis

We rely on your consent to send you marketing emails. You give this by signing up and confirming your subscription, and you can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

For website analytics and cookies, we rely on your consent, which you give through the cookie banner when you first visit. You can change your choice at any time.

Email marketing

We use Klaviyo to manage our email list and send our emails. When you sign up, your details are stored in our Klaviyo account. We use a double opt-in process, which means you'll receive an email asking you to confirm before we add you to the list. You are never added to marketing emails without confirming first.

Klaviyo processes this data on our behalf. You can read more about how Klaviyo handles data in their own privacy policy.

Patreon

If you support the show on Patreon, your membership is managed by Patreon under their own terms and privacy policy. We may bring patron details into our Klaviyo account so we can recognise our supporters, but we will only send you marketing emails if you have separately opted in to our email list. Being a patron does not, on its own, sign you up to our marketing emails.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, for example which pages are visited and roughly where visitors are based. This uses cookies.

Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them through our cookie banner. Essential cookies needed for the site to work may be set without consent. You can decline analytics cookies and the site will still work normally.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the services that help us run the show:

Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where that's the case, they rely on appropriate safeguards for international data transfers as required by UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you're subscribed to our list. If you unsubscribe, we keep a minimal record needed to make sure we don't email you again. You can ask us to delete your data entirely at any time.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

To exercise any of these, email us at hello@niptuckpod.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date at the top of the page.
